Washington Street Ale House in Wilmington

came here for lunch and I got a chicken cordon bleu wrap from the lunch special.. I enjoyed it. When you get a soda, you need to ask for a straw since they are environmental friendly folks *Shrugs my shoulders* at least they aren't using paper straws... cause they suck!

Service horrible. Had to hunt for waitress to get water and pay my bill. Food is good though but I would not go back

This place is small, clean, had a really cool ambiance, and is priced well respectively. Plus the location is amazing, and the staff are amazingly nice. Will be returning for a long time to come.

One of my favorite places. I love buffalo wings and theirs are good. A decent sized wing.

I loved their buffalo wings and the crab cake sandwich I ordered. Will definitely being ordering more from them when I am in Wilmington

The service seemed impersonal and at times a hit and run. The burgers were cooked first and left sitting before the food that takes longer was done, so the buns got soggy and the meat chewy.

Since the change in ownership the food quality has declined, no more Bamba and Taco behind the bar, no longer able to hear the football game's that are televised, used to be my favorite sports bar.

What a hidden gem. First time there. Loved it! Great food and amazing beer selection. Had a spectacular night out with friends. Will return.

A great late night hangout and a dependable place for brunch and dinner. Good for groups or an intimate meal. Fun food. Not too many vegetarian options, other than the beyond burger and a salad or two, but this isn’t a that kind of place. I’ve always had fun here and that’s what I look for when I chose it!

Ok... One of best experiences in Wilmington Delaware... Why? Well, they have a good selection of beers and the food it's fenomenal; it's hand made and the service it's so kind!

Crab bisque was amazing!However, I got a well done burger and I requested medium. The black and bleu burger wasn't terrible, but not that good. It looks a lot better than it tastes.I would come here again but with a little lowered expectations of their burgers. The staff was pleasant and attentive.

Always good service and good food, a dependable local spot. The burgers are yummy, good selection of beers and wines.

Came here at about 5:45pm on a Friday. Asked for the Happy Hour and was seated at a table outside of the bar area. Moved to the bar area (where they have the Happy Hour). After sitting for a bit waiting, went to the bartender who said she was "just headed over to us." Asked for said Happy Hour menu and was told that it was over at 6pm. The Happy Hour is listed On The Menu as going until 7pm. We were told that they "just changed it."Overall terrible service and the food that people had looked way different than the pics posted online. Service was terrible, menus were inaccurate and the beer menu had no prices, they all just said "Happy Hour." Not a happy place. Never going back. Found about five better places a couple blocks away. All of their Happy Hours go until 7pm.

Food was good, servers were friendly. There was a small issue it was taken care immediately. I will return.

Captures the warmth and comfort of a small-town bar while providing high-quality food.Has some free parking in the rear of the structure, with other parking options around the immediate area.Decent draft beer list, with common favorites as well as some local crafts.

Stopped in for a bite to eat after a movie. Had a yummy veggie burger & fries. Server was super friendly, setting was toasty-warm by the fire and I really enjoyed his suggested IPA. Great experience!

Good food, good service, attractive, ample off street parking

Love the decor. The food is overall good. Crab bisque has no lump crabmeat as described. Told the waitress, she laughed it off. She was not very good. Burgers were tasty. Onion rings were delicious. Chocolate layer cake way too expensive for serving size.

Amazing food and service was on point with me and wife's needs..Christina was our server and couldn't ask for a better server .I'm from nj and would take a drive weekly cause of the food was the amazing and thankyou for the experience

Came here for dinner with coworkers. Tables and bar seating are both available which was nice. Everything we had seemed great and handmade when sane, no reheated frozen stuff from a vendor that I could see.Good atmosphere, easy access, great food and service. Food portions were good for the prices (which were fair). Entirely recommend this for anyone who wants good food and the chance to watch some sports if they want.

Great bar. The beer selection is impressive. Lots if nice local choices and a variety of different styles. The food is also pretty good. The fries had some type of a bbq rub on them that tasted great. There are plenty of TVs in the bar area for sports. The bar tender was very helpful and knowledgeable about the beers on tap. If you are wanting to catch a game, this is a great place to hang out, have elevated bar food, and some nice cold beer.

Service was terrible. The food was awesome but we sat without water for half our meal and it took 20 minutes to get a box and the check after having to get up and go find someone to help out.

We were in Wilmington, DE for a week long business trip. Both of us are foodies and appreciate quality food created with exceptional ingredients. After trying a few local restaurants, we came across Washington Street Ale House! The food is incredible!! Their Nachos are a must have, as well as their Caramel Cheesecake. Their burgers are gourmet! We ended up dining here FOUR times during our week stay -- we loved every experience. The staff are friendly and professional, if something was wrong or we wanted to change anything, they were on top of it. You could tell all of the staff wanted your experience to be perfect. We especially loved having Holly as our waitress, she was the best! Request her if you can. We really can't say enough about Washington Ale House.

They put bacon in the pretzel cheese but everything else was pretty good

I’ve been twice, once for brunch when it wasn’t too busy and once for dinner when it got busy all of a sudden. When it gets busy (which I’m defining as all tables full but no major wait for a table), it seemed that there just was not enough staff to adequately manage and provide timely service. The food was good - when we went for brunch, everything was on point and delicious. For dinner, the bang bang shrimp was awesome, and our burgers were great. The old bay fries were seasoned with some sort of barbecue rub and ended up tasting like lays BBQ chips. I would definitely go again for brunch, but I’m not sure I would seek it out again for dinner on a Friday night.

The food was very good, albeit delivered with slow service. The server said she never saw anyone finish the crab trap sandwich; I felt this was a personal challenge and had to eat every last bite. It’s an excellent sandwich but agree it’s way too big. Good kids menu.

Stopped here on our way through Wilmington.Staff was very friendly, service was quick. The food was great, and the drink menu was a mile long.Their wing sauce is good, and their Jumbo Pretzels are even better, and their burgers are *even* better.Great spot.

The black and blue burger with fries and homemade pickles was really good. The burger was cooked just like I wanted and the sour dough roll wasn't greasy. My new favorite.

Very good. We all got burgers and they were amazing. Most burgers at restaurants are dry and dull but these were juicy and tender. Will most defiantly come back when in the city!!

Super bummed... We were really excited to go here, with the good reviews & delicious-sounding menu, but after waiting over an hour-and-a-half after asking for the food menus (with the explicitly stated intention of ordering food), we had to implore the busser to get our check for the single beers we were actually able to order.

Nice spot, was out a few beers and menu items but the pulled pork was delicious. The pumpkin ale didnt have much pumpkin flavor but was still a good beer. Worth a stop without a doubt
